
Meet the Teachers
Leah Beaver, co-owner and teacher, has thirteen years of teaching experience. She was a thirteen year student at the Mary Kersting Moore Dance Studio, studying tap, jazz, acrobatics, ballet, and clogging. She was a cheerleader for six years with the Martinsville schools. After graduating from Martinsville High School, Leah attended Indiana State University and IUPUI. Miss Leah enjoys teaching recreational classes as well as competitive classes. Her competition students have acheived many top awards at the Regional and National level. Leah married Kenny Beaver in January of 1996. They have two boys, Luke Edward, born on November 4, 1999, and Evan Scott, born on August 26, 2002. |

Michelle Snyder, co-owner and teacher, has a dance teaching degree and eighteen years of teaching experience. As a student, she graduated from the twelve year program with the Indiana State Dance Convention and the Indiana State Teachers and Students Performing Arts Convention. She did gymnastics training locally and also under the direction of Jim Brown, former IU gymnastics coach. She was a Martinsville cheerleader for three years and began her dance teaching career at the age of sixteen. Her students have won many state, regional, and national champion titles. After Michelle graduated from Martinsville, she continued her education at IVY Tech and Indiana University. She married Jarrett Snyder in 1999 and they live east of Martinsville with their sons, Cole and Jackson. Michelle, and her business partner, Leah Beaver, opened ELITE Dance and Acrobatics, Inc. in 2001. |
Lisa
Siderewicz has been dancing since she
was three years old. She was a 15-year student with Mary Kersting Moore
Dance
Studio and while in high school, she was a member of the dance squad. After
graduating from Martinsville, she continued dancing
at Indiana University where
she was a member of the Indiana Redsteppers. Lisa has also been the
choreographer for the
Musicals, band color guard, and MHS
danceline. She is now a dance coach of the Center Grove High School Dance
Team. She is a third grade teacher at Central Elementary School. Lisa has two
children, Joey and Lacey. Her
husband, Joe, is
a teacher and he coaches varsity football at Center Grove
High School. Lisa and her family live in Greenwood.
Kimmie Esteb began her dance career at the age of 4 under Leah Beaver and Michelle Snyder.
Kimmie took tap,
jazz, ballet, acrobatics, poms and clogging. She competed for 10 years, where she earned several regional and national titles.
She has won the Performer of
Excellence award at the regional and national level 2 consecutive years, as well as
standout
dancer for 4 consecutive years. Kimmie married Darwin Esteb in July of 2008.
In 2009, she took on the position as
choreographer for the Martinsville High School
Danceline team.
She began her career at Elite in 2005 after she graduated high school.
David Bowles has been studying Isshin-Ryu karate since 1989. He obtained his black belt in 1994, under the guidance of
Sensei Don Hoff, and has been teaching since that time. Isshin-Ryu is a style of Okinawan karate founded by Tatsuo Shimabuku.
The name means one heart method.
David attended Ivy Tech and IUPUI for contracting. David owns DRB Painting and Contracting, Inc.,
which he began in 1996.
David married Jenny Burleigh in 1991. They have two children, Bailey and Kaitlyn. Bailey is active in
karate and recently earned his green belt. Kaitlyn is very active in Dance Force at ELITE.
